I must say I honestly feel bad for Beyonce. Not because she is beautiful, talented and wildy successful but because her shortcomings are becoming Jennifer Hudson's strengths. Beyonce has publicly said that her current dream is to be the first black woman to win a Grammy, Tony and an Oscar. So far she has one out of three and I dont know if she'll actually ever make her goal before the age of 30. Jennifer Hudson however comes out of nowhere and shows everyone that not only can she sing but she is on her way to becoming one of the foremost black performers of our time.

Being that I am on Team Hudson I was more than happy to see her on the cover of my favorite magazine. She looks happy and as if she's just laughing in the face of all her haters.
Beyonce however, just cant seem to escape the "righteous" sex symbol image that she and her team have created. Regardless of her talents everyone will call her beautiful first before they call her talented. All I'm saying is that her dream, though mostly realized, is a lot further from her now that she's on the cover of Sports Illustrated. She's settling for what people want to see. I think you could've held out for Vogue Beyonce. You and Jen coulda done it together....Right. At least you would still have your dignity.

There is a difference between a fan and a stan. Miss Katrina you just crossed the line big time. You call Jay-z 300 times a day and admit to stalking him. No one can say anything about me anymore, especially in comparison to old girl. She's lost touch with reality big time. I just appreciate the man's swagger.

Stomp the Yard

Toni dragged me to see 'Stomp the Yard' this weekend at Linden Projects, I mean Linden Theaters. It was a cool movie if your into predictable dance movies like that one with Omarion. But hands down the best part of the movie was Columbus Short with no shirt.

According to FOXnews.com Oprah Donated 1 Million Dollars to Miss Porters School.

"And while most of Winfrey’s interests are to help African Americans, she has a soft spot for rich white kids, too.

Winfrey, according to her filing, is in the middle of doling out a $1 million contribution to the ultra-WASPy, very, very exclusive Miss Porter’s, the famed finishing school in Farmington, Conn. She sent her nieces there in the early '90s, and has remained a steadfast supporter.

The large donation seems a little unusual given that it would seem, from the school’s quarterly online newsletter “Salamagundy,” that the racial makeup of the academy hasn’t changed much since the days when Jackie Kennedy or George Bush 41’s mother, Dorothy, were students.

Other graduates of Miss Porter’s include Vanderbilts, Rockefellers and billionaire heiresses like Dina Merrill and the late Barbara Hutton. The school has an $80 million endowment."(source)

Last time I checked Oprah made that money herself. So who are these people to be critical about where she gives her money? If you check out the rest of the article Oprah donates money to helluva lot of people both white and black. Being a Farmington girl for life, I am happy that she gave the money to my alma mater. Everyone needs to back up and let her do what she does best: Give things away.

14th St at 12 am with broke people doesnt sound like the formula for a great night. But yea it was off the hook. Hookah, browsing Virgin fashion mags, and wendy's new 2.99 meal (which is great btw). I met a whole bunch of cool people, and someone who is connected to the industry. But most of the people I met were college grads in their second or first year of "adultness." And they made me realize that I'm gonna appreciate these last four months of college before I have to be out there doing something with my life for real.

Ok so I know that DUI's are the new celebrity thing: Nicky Richie and Paris have had their nights, and thankfully no one has gotten hurt but its irresponsible and in Mike's case just pathetic.

I remember Mike at the height of career, we all do. I remember Mike when he bit dude's ear off. Hell, I even remember Mike beating Robin Givens' ass. I guess I expect people to turn around at some point and realize their flaws. Me and my silly great expectations...

2007 is the year for glamour and prints for me, so its only fitting that I post a pic of christina milian looking unusually glamorous at the new york fashion shows this fall.

And I will never stop talkin about how fly ciara was in the promise video.
